Bowery Poetry Club

There is a small place called Bowery Poetry Club, located at 308 Bowery Street in the vast city of New York. On Saturday, May 3rd, the launching of the 14th Issue of a magazine called Tribes was taking place in such location. When I first entered and singed up, I notice there were free refreshments, so I got excited and I rushed myself to one of the tables, sat down and started to listen to the Poets read their poems.
Turns out that free pizza was not the only good thing about being there. Each performer showed such emotion and love to what they were doing, that it moved feelings inside of me. The way they expressed every word with a different tone brought to life the text as if it was a movie. My favorite poem was called Pedro Passed Away, performed by a retired Professor of CUNY. He sure knew how to catch attention and how to bring life to words that would have been senseless without his interpretation.

OVERALL AN EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE!!
